नई दिल्ली। गृह मंत्रालय ने 2027 में राष्ट्रीय जनसंख्या जनगणना के संचालन के लिए आधिकारिक अधिसूचना जारी कर दी है। कोविड-19 महामारी के कारण विलंबित दशकीय जनगणना में अब डिजिटल डेटा संग्रह, स्व-गणना विकल्प और पहली बार जाति गणना की सुविधा होगी, जो 1 मार्च, 2027 तक पूरी हो जाएगी। लगभग 34 लाख गणनाकार और पर्यवेक्षक तथा 1.3 लाख जनगणना कर्मियों को इस कार्य के लिए तैनात किया जाएगा। यह कार्य दो चरणों में किया जाएगा तथा 1 मार्च, 2027 तक पूरा होगा।
गृह मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि जनगणना मोबाइल एप्लीकेशन का उपयोग करके डिजिटल माध्यमों से की जाएगी, जहाँ लोगों को स्व-गणना का प्रावधान भी उपलब्ध कराया जाएगा। इसमें कहा गया है कि “संग्रह, संचरण और भंडारण के समय डेटा सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए बहुत कड़े डेटा सुरक्षा उपाय किए जाएँगे।” जनगणना दो चरणों में की जाएगी – हाउस लिस्टिंग ऑपरेशन (एचएलओ) जिसमें प्रत्येक घर की आवासीय स्थिति, संपत्ति और सुविधाएँ एकत्र की जाएँगी, और जनसंख्या गणना (पीई), जिसमें प्रत्येक घर में प्रत्येक व्यक्ति की जनसांख्यिकीय, सामाजिक-आर्थिक, सांस्कृतिक और अन्य विवरण एकत्र किए जाएँगे। गृह मंत्रालय ने कहा कि जनगणना में जाति गणना भी की जाएगी।
