लखनऊ। ज्योतिष्पीठ के शंकराचार्य अविमुक्तेश्वरानंद सरस्वती ने इटावा में गैर-ब्राह्मण कथावाचकों के साथ हुए दुर्व्यवहार पर कहा कि सार्वजनिक रूप से कथा कहने का अधिकार सिर्फ ब्राह्मण को है। उनके मुताबिक शास्त्रों के अनुसार सभी जातियों को कथा सुनाने के लिए ब्राह्मण ही उपयुक्त हैं।
गौरतलब है कि दो दिन पहले ही इटावा में एक अन्य पिछड़ी जाति के एक कथावाचक के साथ बदसलूकी की खबर आई थी। इसके बाद समाजवादी पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष अखिकेश यादव ने इस मामले को पुरजोर तरह से उठाया था। हालांकि इस मामले मे दो महिलाओं के भी बयान सामने आए हैं। इसमें उन्होंने कहा कि कथावाचक के दौरान महिलाओं को लेकर अभद्र व्यवहार कर रहे थे। इस पर सामूहिक तौर पर उनका मुंडन कराया गया था। लेकिन अब इस सम्बन्ध में शंकराचार्य के बयान के बाद से राजनीति गरमा गई है।
इस मामले को लेकर सपा प्रमुख ने कहा कि हमारा संविधान जातिगत भेदभाव की अनुमति नहीं देता है, ये व्यक्ति की गरिमा और प्रतिष्ठा से जीवन जीने के मौलिक अधिकार के विरुद्ध किया गया अपराध है। सभी आरोपियों की तत्काल गिरफ़्तारी हो और यथोचित धाराओं में मुकदमा दर्ज किया जाए। अगर आगामी 3 दिनों में कड़ी कार्रवाई नही हुई तो हम ‘पीडीए के मान-सम्मान की रक्षा’ के एक बड़े आंदोलन का आह्वान कर देंगे। पीडीए के मान से बढ़कर कुछ नहीं।
