नई दिल्ली। भारत अपनी राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा को और मजबूत करने के लिए अब अंतरिक्ष के जरिये दुश्मनों पर नजर रखने की तैयारी में जुट गया है। रक्षा मंत्रालय एक नई उपग्रह निगरानी प्रोजेक्ट शुरू करने जा रहा है, जिसका मकसद विदेशी जासूसी गतिविधियों और संभावित खतरों का समय रहते पता लगाना होगा।
इस परियोजना पर हर साल करीब 150 करोड़ रुपये खर्च होने का अनुमान है और इसे वर्ष 2026 के अंत तक पूरी तरह चालू किया जाएगा। बेंगलुरु स्थित अंतरिक्ष स्टार्टअप दिगंतारा को इस महत्वाकांक्षी प्रोजेक्ट का कांटेक्ट मिला है। यह अब तक भारत में किसी निजी अंतरिक्ष कंपनी को दिया गया सबसे बड़ा सरकारी रक्षा ठेका माना जा रहा है।
इस उपग्रह नेटवर्क का उद्देश्य भारत की ओर होने वाली विदेशी निगरानी और जासूसी को पकड़ना और उसका तुरंत जवाब देना है। यह प्रणाली इसरो की मौजूदा ‘नेत्र’ प्रणाली से अलग है, जो केवल अंतरिक्ष मलबे और उपग्रहों की स्थिति पर नजर रखती है।
यह नई प्रणाली खासतौर पर रक्षा निगरानी के लिए डिजाइन की जा रही है। इन उपग्रहों को इस तरह विकसित किया जाएगा कि वे एक-दूसरे से संपर्क कर सकें और पूरे देश में मौजूद विभिन्न ग्राउंड स्टेशनों को रियल टाइम डेटा भेज सकें।
