Maharaja Agrasen International College, Raipur, celebrated its 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, patriotism, and a message of environmental protection. This year, the theme of the celebration was “Azadi Goes Green,” which inspired students and guests to contribute to building a clean, green, and environmentally conscious India.
The chief guest for the event was Mr. Vijay Goyal, Chairman, Chhattisgarh Private University Commission. Special guests included Mr. Ramavatar Agarwal, President, Chhattisgarh All India Agrawal Conference, and Mr. Ashok Agarwal, Secretary, Chhattisgarh Private University Regulatory Commission. Chairman Mr. Ramesh Agarwal, former Chairman Mr. Rajesh Agarwal, Secretary Mrs. Sarita Agarwal, Principal Dr. Jasmine Joshi, Vice Principal Dr. Shweta Tiwari, Administrator Shivangi Mishra, and HR Head Shaheen Sheikh, along with all the faculty and staff of the college, were present on the occasion.
The program began with a welcome ceremony for the guests on the college campus. The Rover-Ranger team welcomed the guests and escorted them to the venue. Following this, tributes were paid to Mother India and the freedom fighters. After hoisting the national flag, the national anthem was sung collectively, expressing their reverence and respect for the nation. Following this, the students and the college team performed a march past, demonstrating discipline, unity, and patriotism.
The MAIC Music team presented a captivating rendition of patriotic songs. The students’ captivating cultural and dance performances captivated everyone. Inspiring speeches by the students highlighted the importance of the freedom struggle, nation-building, youth empowerment, and environmental protection. Guests present on the stage were honored with bouquets. Principal Dr. Jasmine Joshi delivered the welcome address. The college’s annual magazine was also formally released on the same occasion. During the ceremony, university toppers and students from the Nipun Camp were honored and their achievements were recognized.
All the distinguished guests present on the occasion delivered inspiring speeches. Principal Dr. Jasmine Joshi encouraged students to contribute to building a technologically capable and environmentally prosperous India. Secretary Mrs. Sarita Agarwal wished everyone a Happy Independence Day. Chairman Dr. Ramesh Agarwal and Ex-Chairman Mr. Rajesh Agarwal congratulated everyone on the success of the event. Chief Guest Mr. Vijay Goyal encouraged the youth to achieve excellence and play an active role in nation-building. Special Guest Mr. Ramawtar Agarwal commended the successful organization of the event, while Special Guest Mr. Ashok Agarwal also extended his heartfelt greetings and congratulations to everyone on Independence Day.
During the event, special emphasis was placed on the theme “Azadi Goes Green,” speakers emphasized that the true meaning of independence will be meaningful only when every citizen plays an active role in building a clean, healthy, and green India. They urged the youth to pledge to protect the environment through tree plantation, cleanliness drives, and conservation of natural resources.
At the end of the program, Ms. Shobha Sahu, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, expressed her gratitude to all the guests, participants, and attendees on behalf of the college. Successful stage management and active cooperation from students, faculty, and staff ensured the successful conclusion of the event.
The entire college campus was awash with patriotism, enthusiasm, and environmental awareness. This event not only celebrated India’s glorious journey to independence, but also served as an inspiring message, motivating students to actively contribute to building a clean, green, and developed India with the spirit of “Azadi Goes Green.”
